Cygnet Gin has added another seasoned executive to its team, this time from Diageo.

The UK-based company has recruited Vedran Milosevic as its global MD from 1 June. Milosevic (below) joins the distiller and namesake brand owner after having spent almost 14 years with the Gordon’s and Tanqueray gin brands owner.

The appointment follows almost six months after former Campari Group CEO Matteo Fantacchiotti joined Cygnet as its chair after he bought a stake in the Welsh business.

Milosevic started with Diageo in 2011 as an account manager for reserve in the UK. He called time on his tenure earlier this month, having spent the last two years as global commercial director of the Diageo Luxury Group division, which oversees blended scotch mark Johnnie Walker along with Brora and Port Ellen single malts and the Justerini & Brooks high-end wine business.

Details on who Milosevic is replacing at Cygnet were not immediately available.

“As we prepare for our next stage of growth, particularly in the UK and US, and strategically seed our presence in global luxury cities, knowing Vedran since many years I am very confident his leadership, global mindset and luxury expertise will be instrumental in accelerating our vision and implementation of our plans,” said Fantacchiotti.

In January, Cygnet, co-founded by opera singer Katherine Jenkins, teamed up with Penderyn Distillery in Wales for the production of its three namesake expressions.
