Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 3 April.

Moët Hennessy’s Ardbeg Heavy Vapours single malt Scotch

Timed to tie in with Islay’s music & malt festival, Fèis Ìle, the limited edition expression has been created by removing the purifier from Ardbeg’s stills
  • Scotch whisky, Islay, single malt, no age statement, 46% ABV
  • Launching globally on 3 June online and from spirits specialist off-premise outlets
  • In the UK, SRP of GBP120 [US$150] per 70cl bottle, available in limited numbers

Altos Planos’ Tres Tribus mezcal portfolio

The company behind Mijenta Tequila has entered the mezcal segment with a four-strong range in the US
  • Mezcal, Ensamble, Cuishe, Tobalá & Espadín Capon
  • Debuting this month in Australia, Dubai, Spain, the UK and the US, where markets include California, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas
  • In the US, SRPs of US$72 for the Ensamble, $95 for Cuishe and Tobalá and $142 for the Espadin Cabon

Bacardi’s Grey Goose Classic Martini Cocktail RTD

The premix extension comprises Grey Goose blended with French vermouth and orange bitters
  • RTD, premix cocktail, vodka-based, 35% ABV
  • Released nationwide in the US and online this week
  • SRPs of US$16.99 per 37.5cl bottle, $29.99 per 75cl bottle

Diageo’s Crown Royal Barley Edition Canadian whisky

The final expression in Crown Royal’s annual ‘Noble Collection’ is a blend of whiskies produced using malted and unmalted barley grains
  • Canadian whisky, aged for “at least” five years. 45% ABV
  • Launched this week in the US in limited – albeit unspecified – numbers
  • SRP of US$79.99 per 75cl bottle

Silent Pool limited edition Coronation Gin

The expression uses dried plum and raspberry leaves along with Earl Grey tea and hawthorn berries
  • Gin, featuring “King Charles’ favourite Surrey [in the UK] botanicals, plants and flowers”. 43% ABV
  • Released this week in the UK, exclusively through multiple retailer Waitrose, in limited quantities
  • SRP of GBP45 [US$55] per 70cl bottle

Diageo’s Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla 0.0% flavoured ‘gin‘

The alcohol-free version of Tanqueray’s orange-flavoured extension follows Tanqueray 0.0%, which according to Diageo is the second best-selling alcohol-free spirit in the UK’s off-premise channel
  • Distilled spirit with botanicals, 0% ABV
  • Released online in the UK this week through Amazon, then through multiple retailer Sainsburys from 23 April
  • SRP of GBP17 [US$21] per 70cl bottle
