Stoli Group has extended the portfolio of its namesake vodka brand in the US with the launch of Stoli Halapeño Pepper – the first to be made at the company’s Louisiana facility.
The flavoured vodka is produced at Louisiana Spirits, Stoli Group’s site in the namesake state that is also home to the Bayou rum brand. Primed for release next month, Stoli Halapeño Pepper is being positioned primarily for use in cocktails, with a focus on the bloody mary serve.
To support the rollout, Stoli is partnering with US premix brand Mr & Mrs T for promotions and value-added packs, including a bundled Bloody Mary offering, scheduled to launch in the US from January.
According to Stoli Group CMO, Marina Troyanovskaya, the variant has been designed to meet a growing interest among consumers in spicy cocktails and brunch occasions, calling it “the definitive spicy vodka for a next-level bloody mary”.
The 37.5%-ABV variant will be available globally in multiple formats, including 5cl, 70cl and 1-litre bottles.
Late last year, Stoli Group USA along with the privately-owned company’s Kentucky Owl American whiskey business filed for bankruptcy in their home country, with alleged liabilities of between $50m and $100m.
