Once a month, the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association releases data covering spirits sales in the Control States of the US.Here’s a look at the numbers for December and for the full year.Before considering December in isolation, the 12-month averages for sales provide a clear indication of category performance in the US last year.
The winners were far out in front, as spirits-based RTDs and tequila both posted double-digit value rises in 2023. Taking bronze was American whiskey, up by just over 4% on 2022., while the gin and vodka segments both hit 2%-plus.
