Bacardi has announced a pair of senior internal promotions in its ‘people’ and supply chain departments.

The current senior VP of HR, Scott Northcutt, who has held the role since 2009, has advised the brand owner of his intention to retire. Subsequently, Bacardi has created the position of chief people & business transformation officer, which will be assumed by chief supply chain officer Dave Ingram (below).

The former Unilever employee – who was with the group for 23 years until 2022, has held the supply chain lead for the last three years.

Taking Ingram’s place will be Nicole Zukowski, who has been promoted from supply chain senior VP for the North America region. Zukowski (below) only started with Bacardi in February last year after six years with Nike, also on the supply chain side.

Both Ingram and Zukowski will sit on the company’s ‘global leadership team’ and report in to CEO Mahesh Madhavan. The pair will also be based at Bacardi’s headquarters in Bermuda.

Three months ago, regional president Ignacio del Valle was reported as admitting the spirits industry was in the midst of a “bad cycle today”. Speaking to FT.com in June, del Valle, who is part of Bacardi’s owning family, said: “Consumer trends do change but [the] data that is out there does not validate that we are adjusting [to anything] other than a cycle.”
