Sazerac Co is releasing a ready-to-drink (RTD) line from its Svedka vodka brand that the company claims is the “world’s first transparent canned vodka water”.
Packaged in a clear can – the source material was not disclosed – the four-strong range includes Lime, Peach, Pineapple and Strawberry variants. The range is being rolled out later this month “nationwide” in the US in single and eight-pack 35cl cans.
Privately owned Sazerac, which acquired Svedka from Constellation Brands in 2024, is accompanying the launch with a marketing campaign dubbed ‘On a Hot Streak’. An advert will be released on social media platforms on 22 June, followed by additional activations “scheduled throughout the summer”. The ad will feature the Svedka ‘fembot’ character, which returned to the brand’s marketing activity last year after 12 years away.
“Consumers are redefining what they want from drinking occasions,” said Svedka’s senior brand director, David Binder. “They want options that fit seamlessly into their lives without sacrificing flavour or fun.
“Svedka Vodka Water is our answer to that shift. It’s Vodka Water 2.0: a new take on a classic combination that raises the bar on both taste and transparency, delivering a cleaner, more effortless way to drink this summer in the category’s first completely clear can.”
Last year, Sazerac released Svedka’s first Super Bowl advert, which also featured the ‘Svedbot’.
