Rémy Cointreau has introduced a brace of new roles in its global travel retail division to help “foster even stronger relationships with our valued partners”.
Positioned at MD level, the lead for Europe, the Middle East, Africa & the Americas has been filled internally, while the Asia Pacific MD post is the subject of a current recruitment drive. Thibault Robert has moved from his position as MD for Latin America, the Caribbean & Travel Retail Americas to assume the former role, effective from last week.
Robert, who joined the Rémy Martin brand owner from Moët Hennessy in late 2007, started as a brand ambassador for the Louis XIII high-end cognac brand before moving up through the ranks to his most recent appointment three years ago, based out of Miami. The switch to GTR will see him head to Geneva. The Asia Pacific MD vacancy is being advertised externally.
Both roles will sit under the responsibility of Fida Bou Chabke, who became Rémy Cointreau’s GTR CEO almost exactly a year ago.
Having booked a near-20% slide in full-year sales to the end of March earlier this year, the group is scheduled to announce its results for Q1 of fiscal 2025 – to the end of June – on 24 July.
