The former CEO of Jackson Family Wines, Rick Tigner, has joined the leadership team of Paradise Spirits-owned tequila brand El Tequileño.
Tigner began in the newly created role of US sales & distribution president this week. His move follows a 36-year tenure at California-headquartered Jackson Family Wines.
Tigner joined Jackson Family Wines as western division manager of the Kendall-Jackson Wine brand in 1991, working up to become president in 2010 and CEO in 2015.
“Rick is one of the most accomplished and respected commercial leaders in beverage alcohol,” said Paradise Spirits founder Wayne Henuset. “He understands every facet of building an enduring brand, from producing exceptional liquid and cultivating strong distributor partnerships to creating meaningful connections with consumers.
“His experience and perspective will be invaluable as we build on El Tequileño’s momentum and enter its next chapter of global growth.”
Tigner’s departure from Jackson Family Wines was announced in February. He has been succeeded by industry outsider Tim Brown.
