Mutiny Island Vodka has agreed a distribution tie-up with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in the US.
The deal will initially roll out the breadfruit-based vodka to eight additional states – Alaska, Arizona, California, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Washington – by the end of this Summer. The agreement covers the full Mutiny Island Vodka portfolio, including its original vodka and three infused expressions: Smoked Hot Pepper, Ginger & Turmeric Roots and Puerto Rican Coffee, as well as another infusion set to launch in the coming weeks.
The announcement follows a series of recent listings for the brand, including with Caesars Entertainment, Applebee’s, Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos and American Airlines lounges. Global Drinks Intel has asked who previously handled the brand’s distribution.
Mutiny Island Vodka is distilled at Sion Farm Distillery in St. Croix on the US Virgin Islands. The brand is already available at “select retailers” in its homeland and in 15 US states. Internationally, the brand can be found in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and other select Caribbean islands.
Last week, Chinola Fresh Fruit Liqueurs penned a distribution deal with Southern Glazer’s, covering the global travel retail channel as well as the domestic markets in the Caribbean and Central America.
