German liqueur group Mast-Jägermeister has booked a slight rise in full-year sales from 2025 while projecting a “cautious outlook” for the months ahead.
The privately-owned company, which is not obliged to release its performance figures, said late yesterday (3 March) that its sales in the 12 months of last year increased by 1.8%, totalling EUR882m (US$1.02bn). The lift, while impressive in the current economic climate, came in below 2023’s EUR961.7m top line.
Concern was raised, however, about the performance in the US last year of Teremana, the tequila brand that the company bought an unspecified-sized stake in just over four years ago; “significant category headwinds and continued inventory reduction” for the brand in the country resulted in a volumes dip of 9.1% to 1m cases. Value sales were not disclosed.
“In a year in which many globally significant spirits markets recorded declines, we succeeded in strengthening our position,” said CEO Michael Volke. “Our depletions even reached record levels worldwide – an impressive testament to the strength of our brand.
“Jägermeister Orange has already exceeded our expectations,” he continued. “We are now leveraging this clear momentum and are consistently expanding the international roll-out of the new variant.”
On group outlook for this year, Volke said: “We do not expect any tailwinds from international markets in 2026 and therefore maintain a cautious outlook. Nevertheless, the strong performance of our brands … supports our confidence that moderate growth is achievable.”
Last month, Mast-Jägermeister lined up its next financial lead following last year’s departure of CFO Christopher Ratsch.
