Ian Macleod Distillers is promoting the flavoured extensions of its Edinburgh Gin in the Global Travel Retail channel.
The brand owner has partnered with operator World Duty Free (Dufry) for an activation that started last month in the UK and Spain and is set to run until the end of September. Pop-up bars offering tasting opportunities are running at two London airports, Heathrow [LHR] Terminal 5 and Stansted [STN], as well as in Aberdeen [ABZ], Edinburgh [EDI] and Glasgow [GLA] airports.
Edinburgh Gin will also be the focus of a bar in Europe for the first time, starting at Alicante [ALC] airport.
The bars will be supported by digital screens and promotions on pillars and wall bays in the venues, while consumers who buy two bottles of Edinburgh Gin will receive a free branded zester.
Earlier this year, privately-owned Ian Macleod added a Strawberry & Pink Peppercorn extension to Edinburgh Gin’s flavoured portfolio.
