Edrington has named a pair of new non-executive directors in Patricia Huyghues Despointes and Edward Cumming-Bruce.

The two will join the Scotland-headquartered company’s board on 1 April. Huyghues Despointes is currently group CFO with SMCP, a French listed international fashion group based in Paris, while Cumming-Bruce has been a “longstanding advisor” of Edrington’s principal shareholder, The Robertson Trust.

Huyghues Despointes, who also served as CFO of Givenchy and held “a number of senior group finance roles” at Moët Hennessy parent LVMH, will chair Edrington’s ‘Audit’ committee and sit on The Macallan owner’s ‘Nominations & Remuneration’ committee.

Meanwhile, Cumming-Bruce will act as The Robertson Trust’s non-executive board representative as well as sitting on the ‘Audit’ and ‘Nominations & Remuneration’ committees.

“Edward and Patricia are welcome additions to an already strong group of non-executive directors on Edrington’s board,” said CEO Scott McCroskie. “Their experience will be instrumental in helping us as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

Last year, William Grant & Sons reached an agreement with Edrington to acquire the full portfolio of blended scotch The Famous Grouse. The move was cleared by the UK Competition & Markets Authority last week.
