Diageo silent on Cîroc vodka sale claim – data

In the 12 months to the end of June, the vodka brand’s sales fell by over 20% for the second consecutive year.

Diageo has been linked to a divestment of its Cîroc vodka brand after two years of consecutive double-digit declines, although the group has declined to comment further.Citing people familiar with the matter, a report by Bloomberg yesterday said the UK-headquartered multinational has "reached out to potential suitors including beverage companies and buyout firms to gauge their interest" for Cîroc. While a spokesperson noted when contacted subsequently by Global Drinks Intel that Diageo does not comment on speculation, the group has not been averse to brand divestments of late; Venezuela
