Anglo-Indian vodka Desi Daru has agreed a distribution deal with Dhall Foods & Beverages, upping its presence in several overseas markets.
The high-end brand, founded three years ago by UK-born Indian Mohit Singh, will head to the likes of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan through the new arrangement. Both expressions in the portfolio, Original and Alphonso Mango, will roll out to the additional markets in the coming weeks.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand into these countries,” said Singh. “(Dhall) are a company with decades of experience and deep-rooted expertise in premium spirits distribution.
“India and the surrounding markets hold huge potential for us and given the regions’ growing appreciation for high-quality spirits – there’s no better time to be launching here.”
Just over a year ago, Altamura Distilleries partnered with Delhi-based Amistad Spirits to launch its namesake Italian vodka in India.
