Cotswolds Distillery has undergone a change of leadership following CEO Jeremy Parsons’ departure last week.
The English whisky producer, in which UK peer Berry Bros & Rudd purchased a minority holding three years ago, has turned to founder Daniel Szor to fill the position. Parsons, whose career included a decade with Berry Bros, stepped aside with immediate effect at the end of last month after almost four years with the company.
“It’s been a pleasure and a privilege leading the Cotswolds Distillery business over the past three and a half years,” Parsons wrote in a LinkedIn post over the weekend. “I want to wish Dan and the amazing team who work there, as well as our partners around the world, continued success with the brand.”
Szor (below), who founded Cotswolds Distillery in 2014, has taken on Parsons’ responsibilities as of this week.
In mid-January, fellow UK-based craft distiller Fielden English Whisky was acquired by brand development agency Glass Half Full for an undisclosed sum.
