Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua has unveiled a new look for Flor de Caña to mark the rum brand’s 135th birthday.
The update, which includes a revised label and wooden closure, has sustainability as its focus – with a lighter bottle and recyclable packaging that features vegetable-based inks. The new label also promotes Flor de Caña’s sustainability credentials, such as the rum’s ‘Carbon Neutral’ certification and the fact that the distillation process uses 100% renewable energy.
The redesign, which commenced its rollout in January to the US, is going worldwide this month and is now available in “major retail stores” and on the Flor de Caña website.
“The new identity marks an exciting milestone for the brand,” Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua said yesterday (16 March). “The redesigned packaging elevates Flor de Caña’s premium presence around the world while bringing its story, craftsmanship and purpose closer to consumers – allowing them to enjoy a world-class spirit that reflects both authentic heritage and responsible practices.”
In January, Flor de Caña appointed Fratelli Branca as its Italian distributor and, in March, switched to Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits in France.
