Dominican rum brand Candela Mamajuana has commenced the rollout of an updated look as part of a broader push into additional US markets and global travel retail.
The relaunch introduces redesigned packaging developed in partnership with US design agency Quaker City Mercantile, featuring a custom glass bottle and updated typography. Alongside the new look, Candela is expanding its footprint in the US, with distribution now covering California, Florida, New Jersey and New York, with further state launches planned for next year.
Candela Mamjuana is also entering the global travel retail channel and increasing its presence across the Caribbean in the coming months.
“Our goal was to capture the soul of the Dominican Republic in a sophisticated presentation that stands proudly next to other iconic bottles,” said founder & CEO Alejandro Russo.
In February, Venezuela-based rum distiller Santa Teresa also unveiled refreshed packaging for its namesake 1796 brand.
