Campari Group has revealed details of two disposal deals, selling Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac and tequila mark Cabo Wabo to Cobblestone Brands alongside a separate move to offload rum business Bellonnie et Bourdillon Successeurs.

The multiple-brand sales were announced late yesterday (29 July) alongside the group’s first-half results. Financial terms of the deals, which are both expected to close by the end of 2026, were not disclosed.

Irish spirits company Cobblestone Brands said yesterday that it had signed a binding agreement to acquire Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac and Cabo Wabo from Campari Group, with completion expected by 31 October. The deal includes IP and and “certain finished-goods inventories” for both brands, as well as the Bisquit & Dubouché “real-estate assets”.

“This transaction represents a major step in our strategy to build a leading international premium spirits company,” Cobblestone Brands said. “On closing, our portfolio will span Irish whiskey, cognac, tequila, rum, gin and emerging beverage categories, supported by commercial operations across more than 30 markets … .”

Campari Group acquired an 80% stake in Cabo Wabo (below) in May 2007 for EUR60m (then-US$80m), with the remaining 20% owned by celebrity founder Sammy Hagar and partner Marco Monroy. Bisquit Cognac, meanwhile, was purchased from South Africa-based Distell Group for EUR52.5m (then-$62m) in December 2017.

The buyer of Martinique subsidiary Bellonnie et Bourdillon Successeurs, owner of the rhum agricole brands Trois Rivières, Maison La Mauny and Duquesne, has so far only been described as a “French private industry player”.

Campari Group acquired French company Rhumantilles, owner of 96.5% of Bellonnie & Bourdillon Successeurs, from Compagnie Financière Chevrillon in July 2019. While the sum paid was not disclosed, Campari Group said the company’s reported sales value in 2018 was EUR24.1m (then-$22.8m).

At the time, the Aperol brand owner described Trois Rivières and Maison La Mauny as “strategic premium brands with a strong presence in France and potential for international growth”, while Duquesne was positioned as “a brand designed for the local market”. Now, all brands included in the sales have been categorised as “non-priority assets”.

Yesterday, Campari Group reaffirmed its prediction that group sales will outperform the industry this year, targeting a 3% full-year sales boost after reporting a 2.5% increase in the second quarter of 2026.
