William Grant & Sons has recruited Campari Group’s former chief information officer to take on the same role at its corporate headquarters in the UK.
Christopher Woods left Campari in August after seven years as CIO. William Grant has confirmed this week that he will start in his new position at the end of this month.
When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a spokesperson for the Glenfiddich brand owner confirmed the post has been newly created.
“Chris joins the business with considerable technology experience applied on an international basis … from Campari [where he] was responsible for enterprise-wide technology transformation across 50 brands and 23 sites worldwide,” the privately held company said.
Late last year, William Grant recruited from outside for its next CEO as Søren Hagh moved from Heineken, where he was president of the ‘Europe’ business division, to take the reins.
