Maxine Hoy joins the namesake brand owner having spent the last five years working for Halewood Artisanal Spirits. During her time with the Whitley Neil gin owner, she rose to become UK & Ireland sales director.
Her career has also included almost 12 years with AB InBev from 1997 to early 2009, again in the UK as national account manager. Hoy also worked for Whyte & Mackay as senior national account manager for three and a half years.
The appointment comes almost exactly a month after Brockmans created the role of MD, with Jean-Dominique Andreu coming on board having previously founded Citadelle gin owner Maison Ferrand in France.
“Brockmans Gin is entering an interesting phase of growth, development and expansion, with a number of announcements pending on the work we’ve been doing behind the scenes to enhance the … experience,” said Andreu. “Maxine will be crucial to driving the commercial strategy in our key markets of the UK, Ireland, Nordic countries and the Americas.”
Late last year, Brockmans added an agave-infused extension to its portfolio. Agave Cut carries a retail price point of just over US$55 in the UK.
