Asahi has unveiled a “refreshed visual identity” for US RTD brand Twisted Shotz alongside flavour NPD and new pack sizes.
The update for Twisted Shotz has been designed to improve shelf standout for the brand, to encourage trial and to “bring fresh energy to the shooter category”, Asahi said. The packs are available from this week in single-flavour four-packs with an SRP of US$5.99, and a new 15-unit of mixed shots called Fruity Fiesta ($18.99).
From next month, ‘Talk Peachy To Me!’ will join the Twisted Shotz range, which includes B52, Miami Vice, Razzle Dazzle and Sex on the Beach SKUs, all at 20% ABV.
The rollout will be “supported by wholesalers across Asahi’s 44-state footprint”, including Breakthru Beverage and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. The Japan-headquartered group plans to expand Twisted Shotz’s presence in “priority markets” including California, Florida, Illinois, Texas and Wisconsin.
“Twisted Shotz has always stood out for its unique, flavour-forward experience, but this relaunch gives us a much stronger and more modern way to show up in market,” said Asahi’s RTD national marketing manager, Josh Lindsay.
“The new visual identity is bright, disruptive and unmistakably Twisted Shotz. It helps bring our personality to life on-shelf and gives our distributors and retail partners a clearer, more compelling story to tell heading into the summer season.”
In January, Asahi introduced its Japanese ready-to-drink brand Zeitaku Shibori to the US, marking the first time an Asahi RTD will be produced in-market.
