Amber Beverage Group’s UK division has acquired Ten Locks, the specialist distribution unit of Kingsland Drinks in the country.
The move sees Amber Beverage UK (ABUK) absorb the distribution responsibilities for Manchester-based Ten Locks’ roster of brands, including El Tequileño, Lind & Lime Gin, Portobello Road Distillery, Three Spirit, Banhez Mezcal and Savoia. The brands will sit alongside Stoli Vodka, Flor de Caña Rum, Faustino Rioja, Arette and Fortaleza Tequila and Arran Scotch Whisky in ABUK’s stable.
ABUK CEO Sam Thackeray said the transaction, for an undisclosed sum, strengthens the company’s “comprehensive, sustainable portfolio” and offers “growth through new, dynamic brands and highly ambitious people.”
Kingsland MD Sarah Baldwin added that the divestment “supports our strategy to maximise the value of our world-class capabilities and infrastructure” while ensuring the Ten Locks team “continues to thrive with ABUK.”
The full Ten Locks roster became available to order through ABUK from the start of this week.
In July, Amber recruited externally for its next CEO, welcoming Latvia-based Normunds Stanevics to the role.
