The prestigious list, covering five continents and including the finest wine estate experiences world-wide, is compiled by an international jury.
For the third time in consecutive years, Schloss Johannisberg in the Rheingau region of Germany was selected as one of the top ten best wine estate experiences. This is the highest recognition of any German wine estate and, in addition, it was also voted third best European estate.
“This award is an honour and confirmation of our long-standing efforts and our company philosophy”, said Stefan Doktor, estate manager at Schloss Johannisberg. “Our passion for the estate is our daily driving force in the production of excellent Riesling wines, while maintaining the traditions and history of the Rheingau region.
“For this to be acknowledged by an exclusive expert jury is for us both obligation and commitment. It is a great feeling to be classed one of the best of the best, but the award also shows us that there is room for improvement and we are ambitious enough to want to expand our slumbering potential further.”
