The margarita is one of the most popular and most frequently ordered drinks in the world. A delicious combination of tequila, orange liqueur and limes that tequila lovers in particular look forward to. And this must be celebrated extensively on International Margarita Day.
Whether it’s a classic margarita, a new twist or the popular frozen version – the day invites consumers to a tequila party with friends and family to ring in the margarita season and brighten up the long winter days. After all, with its fruity agave flavour, the margarita tastes particularly good with spring fever and summery thoughts.
“I particularly like our Sierra Antiguo Plata in a Tommy’s Margarita,” says global advocacy & education manager Mario Kappes. “The drink is a variation on the margarita from Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco. Julio Bermejo created this drink there in 1990 by replacing the triple sec of the margarita with agave syrup. This variant has since established itself worldwide and impresses with its freshness, elegance and, with Sierra Antiguo Plata, an incredibly intense agave flavour. A must for all tequila fans.”
While Sierra Tequila is the must-have for every party, Sierra Antiguo as 100% de Agave Tequila gives every margarita a full-bodied agave flavour and inspires creativity behind the bar or at home in the kitchen. Sierra Tequila offers exciting recipe ideas that anyone can mix themselves.
