William Grant & Sons has named Kartik Mohindra, formerly of Pernod Ricard, as the MD of its Indian business unit.
Mohindra (below) will begin with the Hendrick’s gin owner on 30 September, having most recently worked as Pernod Ricard’s India CMO & head of global business development for seven years. He will replace Sachin Mehta who, after spendng nine years in the role, will take the wheel at William Grant’s Canada division.
Prior to joining Pernod Ricard, Mohindra also worked for United Spirits for four years, before Diageo acquired its stake in the Indian spirits business.

Driven by his expertise, we’re confident that we will further build on the great progress Sachin and the team have made in India in recent years.”
In March, William Grant named James Casey as the next MD and Vérane de Marffy as CMO of its operations in the US.
