Vinarchy has added another string to its NPD bow, readying the release in Australia of spritz-based extensions from three of its wine brands.

Leading the charge is Campo Viejo Sangria Spritz, the debut RTD from the Spanish wine brand. Containing the Spanish wine as its base, the 4.5%-ABV sparkling premix has gone on sale in Australia in 33cl cans, available individually and in four-packs, the latter with an SRP of AUD24.99 (US$17.50).

Jacob’s Creek, meanwhile, will have its portfolio boosted by Le Petit Spritz (below), a blend of rosé wine with elderberry, priced at AUD13.95 in 75cl-bottle format and with an ABV of 8.5%. Completing the assault is Tatachilla Sun’Day Spritz, a tropical-flavoured also-8.5%-ABV RTD from the Australian wine brand, in bottle and can packaging.

“There is a significant opportunity to grow wine by bringing it into more occasions, and our teams in Australia and across the globe are doing exactly that during summer,” said Vinarchy’s CEO Danny Celoni. “Australia is the first market in the world to launch Campo Viejo Sangria Spritz, bringing this iconic Spanish brand into the ready-to-drink category for the first time. We’re also launching fantastic new spritz offerings from Jacob’s Creek and Tatachilla.

“This focus on expanding and growing the wine category is something we’re passionate about across Vinarchy globally, and it’s fantastic to see that ambition coming to life through initiatives like these.”

In March, Vinarchy, which acquired Campo Viejo and Jacob’s Creek, along with Brancott Estate, from Pernod Ricard in mid-2024, launched Echo Falls’ Fruit Fusion line of flavour extensions, starting with Blue Raspberry. Speaking to Global Drinks Intel five months later, Celoni admitted not understanding the concept at first. “When the innovation team came to talk to me about Echo Falls Blue Raspberry, I saw the liquid and, frankly, at the ripe age of 53, I couldn’t get my head around it,” he told editor Olly Wehring. “But, they were clear on the consumer they were talking to and how they were going to deliver it. And it’s worked.

“We’ve now got a pipeline of activity coming off the back of that.”

‘The simplification of wine is critically important – it’s also a significant opportunity for the wider category’ – Vinarchy CEO Danny Celoni speaks to Global Drinks Intel
