Vinarchy has announced the release of two “lighter-style” variants of its Campo Viejo rioja brand under the Campo Viejo Contemporary name.
The pair, Blanco and Rosé, both carry an ABV of 10.5% and are designed to appeal to “fresher drinks moments with friends”. Contemporary Blanco and Contemporary Rosé make their debuts this week in the UK off-premise channel through retail multiple Sainsbury’s with an SRP of GBP9.50 (US$12.70) per 75cl bottle.
As well as in-store activity, the duo will also benefit from social-media presence and creator content. More specific details were not disclosed.
“We’re delighted to bring something new to Campo Viejo wine lovers old and new, while tapping into the growing appetite for lighter wine styles and rosé,” said Vinarchy’s global brand director, Lucy Bearman. “This range shows a lighter side of Spanish rioja, while … for retailers, that means a familiar name doing a new job in the fixture.”
