Craft brewer Northern Monk has partnered with Spain’s Damm to handle the former’s on-premise distribution in the UK.
The Leeds-based beer business’ flagship brands, Faith and Little Faith, will be managed by Damm across the country’s pubs and bars with the exception of “select venues”, where Northern Monk will continue to distribute directly. The production processes will remain the same as currently, with all brands brewed in the northern city.
The arrangement will see Damm “complement its Spanish and Japanese brands” with Northern Monk’s offerings; the Faith hazy pale ale at 5% ABV and the 4% ABV Little Faith hazy session IPA.
“2025 will see Northern Monk’s brewing capacity increase by 20%, allowing us to produce an additional 2m pints compared to 2024,” said Northern Monk founder & MD Russell Bisset.
“Damm has achieved exceptional quality and has done some powerful work around environmental impact at-scale. We’re really looking forward to learning from their expertise as we continue our quest to become carbon neutral in our direct emissions by 2030, whilst continuing to create beer experiences that delight our consumers.”
Earlier this week, non-alcoholic beer producer Lucky Saint was named as the latest funding member of The Portman Group, the UK’s alcohol marketing watchdog.
