Former Delicato Family Wines employee Corey Beck is preparing a move to California stablemate Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits next month.
Beck (below), who has spent the last four years with Delicato as its executive VP of winemaking, will assume the position of COO at his new employer. The switch has been lined up for 1 May.
When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a company spokesperson confirmed that the COO position has been newly created.
Reporting in to CEO Bob Torkelson at Napa Valley-based Trinchero, Beck will be responsible for its winemaking, viticulture, production, finance, IT, HR and export operations. His career to-date has also included 20 years – three of which as CEO – at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, also in California.
Trinchero, which owns the Sutter Home wine and Tres Agaves tequila brands among a portfolio of around 50, is one of the five largest wineries in the US. In March last year, the privately-owned business assumed importation responsibilities for Spain’s Celler Vall Llach.
