Foley Family Wines & Spirits’ Gambit No 6

Gambit No 6 bottle
Created by the founder of the Balcones American whiskey brand, Chip Tate (now Foley's master distiller for innovation), this bourbon takes its name from a chess move
  • American whiskey, bourbon, Kentucky straight. The iteration starts as a six-year-old bourbon (mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley). Around 15% was then finished for 19 months in ex-cabernet sauvignon American oak from Foley’s Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery’s PreVail Wines in California. The remaining 85% was finished for three months in ex-chardonnay French oak – also from Ferrari-Carano – before spending 12 to 16 months divided across ex-oloroso sherry, -muscatel, -apple brandy and -tokaji barrels, 46% ABV
  • On sale from this week in the off-premise in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, Texas and Washington. Also available online for domestic delivery – where permitted – in the US
  • SRP of US$69.99 per 75cl bottle
