This debut iteration in what will be an annual series of limited editions from California's Redwood Empire is named after the tallest known living tree, which is located in "a hidden section" of Redwood National Park in the state

Redwood Empire Whiskey’s The Hyperion Inaugural Batch 001

  • American whiskey, comprises a “collection of whiskey blends, rather than simply mashes” – 32% bourbon, 30% rye, 25% wheat and 13% single malt whiskies. “The final blend of approximately 79 barrels combines multiple mash bills from curated whiskey stocks from Redwood Empire and other distillers in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee”, 55% ABV
  • On sale in the US since late last week, available through off-premise operators including Total Wine & More
  • SRP of US$99 per 75cl bottle, on sale in limited – albeit unspecified – quantities
