Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 22 April.

Bacardi’s Grey Goose Altius

  • Vodka, France, sourced from winter wheat and using spring water originating from the French Alps, filtered at -24 degrees Celsius following distillation, 40% ABV
  • Kicking off in high-end on-premise venues in locations including biza, Mykonos and Saint Tropez in Europe before heading to selected US cities in July and Dubai later this year
  • SRP not disclosed, “at the discretion of the venue”. Available in numbered 70cl and 1.75-litre bottles

Takara Shuzo International’s Cù Bòcan Creation #6 single malt scotch

  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Highlands (produced at the Tomatin distillery). Matured in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for nine years and ex-Jamaican rum casks for ten years, 46% ABV
  • On sale this week online for worldwide shipping as well as through specialist spirits outlets in the off-premise, again globally
  • SRP of GBP60 (US$74) per bottle, available in limited – albeit unspecified – quantities

Cù Bòcan, which is positioned as an "experimental Highland single malt", debuted 11 years ago and hosts limited-edition expressions such as this nine- and ten-year-old iteration

Dandurand Group’s Sortilège Rye Whisky

  • Canadian whisky, sourced from domestically-grown rye, matured for three years in oak barrels then finished for an unspecified period in maple wood, 40% ABV
  • Released in Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec in Canada this month
  • SRP not immediately available

Fierce & Kind Spirits’ Fierce & Kind Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon

  • American whiskey, bourbon, North Carolina, matured for two years and nine months in new American oak barrels, 55% ABV
  • Released in the US this month to both the on- and off-premise channels
  • SRP of US$85 per 75cl bottle

Initially launched by California-based, minority- and woman-founded Fierce & Kind as a limited edition last summer, this cask strength bourbon now sits alongside the namesake brand's bourbon and vodka expressions in the permanent portfolio

Latitude Beverage Co’s Tequila Zarpado Añejo

  • Tequila, añejo, matured for “more than” one year in French oak and ex-bourbon casks, 40% ABV
  • Rolling out to 14 US states this week, including New York and Texas, in the off-premise channel
  • SRP of $37.99 per 75cl bottle

Ramsbury Spirits’ Ramsbury Raspberry & Wildflower Honey Gin

  • Gin, England, flavoured, featuring fresh raspberry juice and honey sourced from Ramsbury Estate in Wiltshire, England, 38% ABV
  • Available online to UK consumers from this week
  • SRP of GBP36 (US$44.50) per 70cl bottle

UK craft distiller Ramsbury Spirits has decided to grant the previously limited-edition seasonal extension of its namesake brand a permanent berth in the portfolio

Nio Cocktail’s coffee- and tea-based premix cocktails range

  • RTDs, Cold Brew Negroni (23.3% ABV), Tea Martini (28.8%), Manhat-Tea (30.2%) and Revolver (28.7%)
  • Rolled out to selected operators in the UK off-premise earlier this month, also on sale online
  • SRPs of GBP19.50 (US$24) per three-pack of 10cl pouches, GBP39 for six and GBP55 for nine
Four coffee- and tea-based premixes from Nio Cocktails
The latest releases from Nio's namesake pouched cocktails line feature Diageo-owned brands as their spirits bases, including Tanqueray, Bulleit and Ketel One

Proximo Spirits’ Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino tequila

  • Tequila, extra añejo cristalino, features extra añejo that has been matured in both Eastern European and American oak barrels, then filtered to become a cristalino, 40% ABV
  • Extending to the UK this month, where the expression will be available online prior to spirits specialists in the country’s off-premise
  • SRP of GBP199 (US$246) per bottle
