Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 19 June.

Brown-Forman’s Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured single malt

Distilled in 1976, the GTR-exclusive was transferred to three octave casks made of ex-Bourbon casks in 2011 and bottled six years ago
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Speyside, 40 years old. Bottled in September 2017, 51.5% ABV
  • Available only in the global travel retail channel at “key” international airports
  • SRP of US$4,500 per 70cl bottle. Limited availability, specific numbers not immediately available

Silent Pool Distillers’ Silent Pool Kaffir Lime Expression gin

The brand extension features a higher-than-usual dose of kaffir lime leaf than in the flagship expression’s 24-botanical mix
  • Gin, UK, 43% ABV
  • On sale from this month in the UK through selected off-premise operators and on the company’s official website
  • SRP of GBP30 [US$38] per 70cl bottle

Sassenach Spirits’ The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin

Botanicals in The Sassenach include apples, heather and pine from Scotland
  • Gin, Scotland, 42% ABV
  • Hitting selected “fine retailers” and on-premise outlets in the US this week, distributed by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits
  • SRP of $39.99 per 75cl bottle

Abstinence Spirits’ Abstinence alcohol-free Aperitivo Spritzes

The two pre-mix aperitivos both feature botanicals sourced from Abstinence Spirits’ home country of South Africa
  • Alcohol-free RTD aperitifs, Blood Orange and Sparkling Lemon
  • Added to the Abstinence portfolio in the US this month
  • SRPs of $18 per 75cl bottle
