The CEO of Rémy Cointreau has outlined a strategic refresh for the group, based on his identification, in the five months since he joined, of “five key levers to regain agility and drive performance”.

Franck Marilly (below), who took over from Eric Vallat on 25 June, has confirmed the shaping and deployment of a “transformation plan” for the champagne and spirits group “in the coming months”. The CEO’s comments were included in the release today (27 November) of Rémy Cointreau’s full results from the six months to the end of September.

For the period, which constitutes the first half of the brand owner’s fiscal 2026, sales came in down by 4.2% on the corresponding six months a year earlier.

“The first half of the year was challenging, but it also marks the start of a new era for Rémy Cointreau,” said Marilly. “Since my arrival in June, I have taken the time to conduct a diagnostic. It is time to challenge the way we think and operate.”

The five levers identified by Marilly are:

  • “adapting our organisation
  • rebalancing our commercial resources
  • redefining how our brands express their DNA
  • sharpening our value-driven strategy, and
  • reevaluating our investment model to focus resources on our top priorities”

In the near term, Marilly referenced his intention to “immediately activate the value-creation levers that are already within our reach”.

“This includes building on innovations aligned with evolving consumer expectations and enhancing our pricing agility, all while staying true to our value-driven strategy,” the CEO added.

Despite the negative sales showing in H1, the company currently has a growth forecast for its top line  in fiscal 2026 of “between stable and low single digits”.

Rémy Cointreau’s next set of results are scheduled to be announced towards the end of January.
