Online business-to-business alcohol marketplace Provi has hired Qingqing Ouyang as its chief product & technology officer.
Ouyang (below) will oversee the company’s product, design and engineering functions, with a mandate to scale Provi’s digital solutions and improve integration across the three-tier system in the US. She reports directly to CEO Taylor Katzman and joins an executive team whose previous experience spans Drizly, Suntory Global Spirits and Constellation Brands, among others.
Details about whether the CP&TO position has been recently-created were not immediately available,
Prior to joining Provi, Ouyang held the same title at real-estate technology business OJO Labs and previously led teams at Main Street Hub (acquired by GoDaddy), Dell and Oracle.
According to the company, Ouyang’s focus will include refining platform capabilities to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency for retailers, distributors and suppliers. Provi’s broader team includes professionals from across tech, hospitality and beverage alcohol sectors, “positioning the platform to expand its presence in the digital B2B marketplace”.
Ouyang said: “Provi is addressing a real and persistent need across the beverage alcohol industry, and it’s clear the platform is delivering meaningful value.”
Last month, US wine business Willamette Valley Vineyards appointed Mike Osborn, founder of online retailer Wine.com, as its next CEO.
