A former CFO at Brown-Forman has given Ole Smoky Distillery their vote of confidence by joining the moonshine and American whiskey producer’s board.
Jane Morreau, who spent just under 30 years with the Jack Daniel’s brand owner, has been appointed as a director at the Tennessee-based company. Ole Smoky, which operates four distilleries in the US state – two of which are in Gatlinburg – described Morreau as “an innovative and dynamic executive that possesses a leadership style hallmarked by a people-first mentality”.
During her career at Brown-Forman, Morreau rose through the ranks to become CFO in early 2014. She left the group two years ago and was replaced by current CFO Leanne Cunningham.
Ole Smoky commenced operations in 2010 with the release of its namesake moonshine brand. The craft distiller, which now boasts a portfolio of 25 different flavours, also branched out into flavoured whiskey [17 flavours] seven years ago. The full range is available nationwide as well as in 20 export markets.
Exactly a year ago, the company rolled out 5cl mini-jars of its two-strong ‘sour moonshine flavours’ line.
