Irish actor Andrew Scott has partnered with Pernod Ricard for its Redbreast Irish whiskey brand’s latest marketing move.
The ‘Quite the Find’ marketing campaign features a collaboration with the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas, to launch ‘Redbreast Unhidden’, a “global platform designed to spotlight hidden gems in film”. Scott fronts in a 15-second spot for the activation and will present the inaugural ‘Redbreast Unhidden Award’ to a winning filmmaker.
As part of the tie-up with SXSW, Redbreast will promote a selection of six original short films by new filmmakers. The brand will host a “series of events and experiences” throughout the festival, which runs from 11 to 13 March, including a screening event and a hidden speakeasy cinema-inspired bar.
“We are excited to share through our new partnership with the immensely talented Andrew Scott and the renowned SXSW Film & TV Festival,” said CEO of Pernod Ricard’s unit Irish Distillers, Nodjame Fouad.
Last year, the Irish Distillers division added another aged expression to Redbreast’s core line.
