Mast-Jägermeister has lined up its next financial lead following last year’s departure of CFO Christopher Ratsch.
The privately-held liqueur brand owner has confirmed this week that Carmen Schmidt will “assume responsibility for the finance, production and administration divisions”. Schmidt (below) will start with the company at the start of May, bringing an end to a 19-year career with Procter & Gamble.
Her last role at P&G was as CFO of its Personal Healthcare Europe division out of Geneva.
Sitting alongside CEO Michael Volke and international operations head Berndt Kodden on the executive board, Schmidt replaces Ratsch, who left Mast-Jägermeister in August after eight years. According to his LinkedIn profile, Ratsch is still the chair of the board at Teremana Tequila, in which the German group bought an unspecified sized stake four years ago.
Late last year, Mast-Jägermeister prepared a sizable international expansion for Teremana to around 20 new markets, leveraging the group’s existing distribution arrangements.
