The partnership centres around a line of limited-edition branded bottlings of the blended scotch alongside pouring rights at Williams-hosted events in the paddock at races during this season. Co-founder Jenson Button retired in 2017 after 17 years as an F1 driver, which included one season with the Williams team.
Specific details about when the bottlings will debut, as well as the duration of the arrangement, were not disclosed.
“To be partnering with Williams Racing as we celebrate only our third birthday is quite extraordinary and I couldn’t be prouder,” said Button. “We’re excited to embark on a partnership that will see us create liquids to honour some of the most special moments in Williams Racing’s history.”
Among Williams’ current official sponsors is Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Michelob Ultra.
Almost exactly a year ago, Coachbuilt released a 300-unit 30-year-old expression through a partnership with Rolls Royce London with an SRP of GBP1,500 (then-US$1,865). The UK-based company’s flagship iteration, which does not carry an age statement, retails in the UK for around GBP35 per 70cl bottle.
