Heineken has revised the appearance of its Namkhong beer brand in Laos to target “a younger, urban audience” in the country.
The redesign, developed by Singapore-based agency Lonsdale Asia, replaces Namkhong’s traditional imagery with a simplified look built around a “river-inspired blue” colour scheme. The refreshed logo incorporates wave details referencing the Mekong River, while the former racing-boat motif has been reinterpreted to depict a more casual rowing scene.
The visual overhaul applies across all of the brand’s packaging formats and aims to enhance its visibility in a market dominated by green and yellow beer branding, the brewer added.
Last month, Carlsberg Group’s Lao Brewery Co unit signed a 15-year extension of its current bottling arrangement with PepsiCo in the country.
