Halewood Artisanal Spirits has launched a four-strong ready-to-drink (RTD) line under its Whitley Neill Gin mark with one eye on the global travel retail channel.
The range, two of which debuted in the UK last month, comprises Elderflower & Korean Pear with Soda, London Dry Gin with Light Tonic, Rhubarb & Ginger with Ginger Ale and Yuzu & White Strawberry with Lemonade. The SKUs are packaged in 25cl cans with an ABV of 8.3%.
UK-based Halewood said the launch “reflects evolving consumer demand for convenient, high-quality drinking experiences across domestic and travel-retail channels”.
“The RTD category continues to perform exceptionally well across travel retail, particularly in environments where convenience, premiumisation and portability are key purchasing drivers,” said Halewood’s GTR director, Eamon Prunty.
“Whitley Neill’s distinctive flavour profiles and elevated ABV make these RTDs ideally suited for cruise ships, ferries, in-flight consumption and airport FAB outlets, where consumers are increasingly seeking high-quality, ready-to-enjoy serves.
“We see strong potential for the range within global travel retail as demand for premium canned cocktails continues to accelerate.”
In January, Halewood sold the JJ Family Distillers spirits mark to Poland’s United Beverages Group. The full JJ portfolio, comprising six vodka SKUs along with a London Dry and a pink gin, moved across for an undisclosed sum.
