The Spritz Society RTD brand is set to up its presence in the US, thanks to a new distribution deal with Gallo.
The tie-up centres around four variants of the 4.5%-ABV brand, which initially launched in mid-2021. Founded by three social media influencers and two influencers, Spritz Society will hit the off-premise channels in Florida, Illinois, South Carolina and Texas ahead of a nationwide rollout from March.
The brand, comprising Lemon Iced Tea, Peach and Pink Lemonade flavours along with a limited-edition pickle variant, will sit with Bev on Gallo’s books. The California-headquartered wine giant acquired the canned wine & spritzer brand in June 2023.
Four-packs of 35.5cl cans of the four-strong line from Spritz Society carry an SRP of US$12.49 each.
“We are on a mission to win new friends for wine by ensuring legal drinking age consumers have access to products that are versatile and approachable,” said Gallo’s marketing VP, Beth Orozco. “Spritz Society is an exciting brand beloved by a loyal social community that wanted cocktails that are crisp and sessionable.
“I’m eager to see the new heights that Gallo can take the brand on a nationwide basis.”
In July, the group’s Spirit of Gallo division made what its parent company described as a “strategic investment” in Puerto Rico-based rum brand Ron del Barrilito.
