Edrington has commenced the rollout of the fourth bottling in The Macallan’s Distil Your World line.
The ultra-premium series, which comprises London, Mexico and New York editions, is joined by Distil Your World Hong Kong this week. As for the preceding trio, the latest Macallan single malt has been created by lead whisky maker Euan Kennedy in collaboration with the namesake owners of Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, Joan, Jordi and Josep Roca.
Matured for an unspecified period in ex-sherry European oak, the addition is on sale now in limited – albeit unspecified – numbers in Asia’s global travel retail channel at an SRP of HKD4,750 (US$605).
Last month, Edrington officially opened an updated branded outlet for The Macallan at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5.
