The news comes as incumbent Durga Doraisamy prepares to leave the brand owner in October. Doraisamy (below left) has held the role since July 2021, with details about where she is moving to limited to “pursuing her next career opportunity”.
Ghobrial (right) will replace Doraisamy “following a thorough search process”. Currently head of IR at consumer healthcare company Haleon, Ghobrial previously spent just over four years with Heineken. Starting as IR senior manager in late 2013, she moved up to become head of IR at director level a year later, before leaving the brewer in November 2017.
The change will take effect at around the same time as Nik Jhangiani assumes the position of CFO for Diageo. Jhangiani, who holds the same responsibilities at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, was confirmed last month as preparing to replace Lavanya Chandrashekar “in the Autumn”.
