As the first quarter of 2025 draws to a close, Global Drinks Intel considers which of the publicly-listed beverage alcohol brand owners in its results coverage shone in 2024 – and which ones sank.

Before we look at the year-on-year performances of the 18 listed brand owners in our coverage, let's consider the top-line showings from the 12 months of last year. The top five remain the same as 2023, with Anheuser-Busch InBev's sales totalling more than second-placed Heineken and Diageo in third, combined. The only order changes last year saw Suntory Holdings - home to Suntory Global Spirits - overtaking Moët Hennessy to snare eighth place, while Rémy Cointreau gave way to Viña Concha y Toro, dropping from 15th to 16th.
