Drinktec, one of the world’s largest exhibitions for the beverage industry, has started today (15 September).
Around 1,100 exhibitors are expected to present their solutions and future technologies in 11 halls at the Munich Exhibition Centre in Germany this week. Running until Thursday (19 September) Drinktec has been positioned by its organiser, Yontex, as hosting “a complete overview of all raw materials, process technologies, filling and packaging technology, logistics and IT …”.
The exhibition, which is scheduled to take place in Munich every four years, saw its cycle disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and was last held in September 2022.
One of the innovations at this year’s event is the ‘Liquidrome’ in hall C4. The concept consists of exhibitor talks and research project presentations, while “numerous start-ups” will also showcase new solutions across the full beverage supply chain.
“Market data indicates that positive developments are expected for beverages and liquid foods in many regions,” said Yontex’s executive director of Drinktec, Markus Kosak. “Drinktec is definitely the global economic summit and therefore a must-attend event for shaping the future of the industry.”
