The president of Sovos Brands has become the next chief growth & strategy officer at Constellation Brands.
E Yuri Hermida has left pasta, soup and frozen pizza group Sovos Brands to join the multi-category alcohol brand owner. With an FMCG career that also included 22 years with Procter & Gamble and three with Reckitt, Hermida takes on the position vacated by Mallika Monteiro, who moved to become MD of the group’s beer brands at the end of last year.
Sovos, for whom Hermida was group president from December, was acquired by Campbell Soup Co late last year.
Reporting in to Constellation CEO Bill Newlands, the chief growth & strategy officer role covers “consumer insights & innovation, digital, transformation, media, new business ventures and strategy & analytics”.
“We are excited to welcome Yuri to the team,” said Newlands. “His extensive experience across the CPG sector and diverse perspective will benefit our company as we continue to look for ways to evolve our business in line with shifting consumer and category trends to seek to ensure long-term, sustainable industry-leading growth.”
Earlier this month, Constellation booked a 3% lift in sales from the three months to the end of August, contributing to a +4% top-line performance in the first half of its fiscal 2025.
