When the global bar and beverage industry gathers at Berlin Exhibition Centre from 12-14 October 2026, Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) will celebrate a significant milestone: its 20th edition. Over the past two decades, the event has grown from a community-driven gathering into one of the leading international trade shows for the bar, beverage and hospitality industries, attracting professionals from around 90 countries.
While the anniversary offers an opportunity to reflect on the industry’s evolution, BCB 2026 is firmly focused on the future. New educational formats, redesigned event spaces and expanded opportunities for engagement are designed to bring the international bar community even closer together.
At the centre of this evolution is the new Embassy Stage, which replaces the former Main Stage. Combining educational content with the atmosphere of the popular BCB Embassy Bar, the space has been redesigned to encourage interaction rather than one-way presentations. Circular seating, lounge areas, fireside conversations, panel discussions and audience participation aim to create a more open and collaborative learning environment.
The programme will once again be curated by the BCB Education Board, bringing together global expertise and diverse industry perspectives. The board includes Priyanka Blah (Director of Education), Eleni Nikoloulia, Maria Gorbatschova and Damien Guichard, who will help shape discussions around the key trends, challenges and opportunities facing the hospitality sector today.
A growing focus for 2026 is the continued rise of the Low & No category, reflecting changing consumer preferences and the increasing importance of mindful drinking. To strengthen this area, BCB has appointed Camille Vidal as Low & No Ambassador. Widely recognised for her work in non-alcoholic drinks, hospitality innovation and mindful consumption, Vidal will contribute her expertise to the education programme and help spotlight the next generation of alcohol-free drinking culture.
Another major addition is the Tasting Room, replacing the former Brand Stage. The new format gives exhibitors a dedicated platform for tastings, portfolio presentations and immersive brand experiences, allowing visitors to explore products and brand stories in greater depth.
Alongside these developments, the Workshop Stage will provide hands-on educational opportunities that encourage active participation and practical learning. The format is designed to foster direct knowledge exchange and equip attendees with skills and insights that can be applied immediately within their businesses and bar operations.
BCB 2026 also continues its commitment to fostering new talent through the Next Generation Initiative, which will be integrated throughout all three show days. By connecting young professionals with employers, industry leaders and experienced bartenders, the initiative addresses one of hospitality’s most pressing priorities: attracting, developing and retaining the next generation of skilled talent.
Through new concepts, expanded learning opportunities and a stronger emphasis on community engagement, BCB 2026 aims to help shape the future of the global bar and beverage industry while reinforcing Berlin’s position as one of the world’s most influential meeting places for hospitality professionals.
