The CEO of Molson Coors Beverage Co’s Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific regions has left with immediate effect.

In a regulatory filing late last week, the multi-category producer and brand owner said that Sergey Yeskov (below) has “resigned from the company for personal reasons”. The departure takes immediate effect with Yeskov on “garden leave” until the end of this year.

Yeskov has been with Molson Coors since mid 2012, prior to when he spent nine years with Anheuser-Busch InBev, mostly in his native Ukraine. During his 12 years with the Coors Light owner, he rose through the ranks, becoming CEO of Molson Coors International in 2018, then MD for Central & Eastern Europe two years later. He then moved up to the EMEA & APAC CEO position at the start of 2022, when he took over from Simon Cox following his retirement.

Details of who will replace Yeskov were not included in the filing, while nobody was immediately available at Molson Coors when contacted by Global Drinks Intel.

In results for the first half of this year, reported in August, the North American company saw EMEA & APAC volumes increase by 2% in Q2, contributing to a 4.2% H1 sales lift. Molson Coors announces its latest quarter’s figures on 7 November.
