The UK division of Anheuser-Busch InBev has unveiled a marketing campaign for the Corona beer brand in the country in anticipation of the summer months.

The activation, which comprises out-of-home adverts in London (below) backed by press and digital presence, features a series of billboards showcasing different sunsets, each with a unique lime shape associated with the lager brand. The marketing moves go live on 30 March, coinciding with the clocks moving forward in the UK for daylight savings time.

The photography used positions the sun where a lime wedge would typically sit in a Corona bottle, imitating the brand’s signature serve.

“As the clocks go forward, we are excited for the nation to be able to enjoy an extra hour of sunshine,” said Corona’s European marketing director, Benjamin Pauker, said. “As a brand that invites people to get outside and find moments of natural relaxation, we wanted to remind people that there is no better way to enjoy a sunset than with a Corona and a lime.”

Earlier this month, alcohol-free extension Corona Cero was named ‘global beer sponsor’ of the World Surf League. AB InBev also secured an extension to Corona Cero’s sponsorship of the Olympic Games to 2032.
